The Dorchester Pastel Wedding

This month we had the pleasure of decorating a beautiful wedding held at The Dorchester hotel in London.

In one of the smaller spaces in the hotel as the wedding was for only 30 guests.

We provided decoration for the ceremony then turned it round for the sit down meal afterwards.

Focusing on the Pastel Wedding Decor.

As the golden hues of dawn creep through the magnificent windows of The Dorchester’s Crystal Ballroom, they bring to life a scene set for a gorgeous intimate wedding. In the heart of London, nestled among the Mayfair and Hyde Park.

The Crystal Ballroom, known for its resplendent interiors and opulent chandeliers, becomes more than just a venue; it transforms into a canvas for love stories.

The Decor: Pastels and Gold.

The palette of pastel wedding decor which included the florals adorning the grand walkway creates an ethereal atmosphere, leading guests down a path of enchantment. Towering arrangements of cream, blush, and delicate lavender and blue, made up of roses, hydrangeas and other pretty flowers interspersed with hints of verdant greenery. These blooms, set upon slender glass stands, appear as if floating, casting a spell of timeless elegance upon all who enter.

At the altar itself, where the couple will join as one, the decor transcends into a crescendo of floral artistry. Lush arrangement of florals frame the space, a testament to the day’s beauty and the blossoming of a shared future.

The Flower Arch

The flower arch in the image exudes a sense of romantic elegance, perfect for a wedding ceremony. It stands as a grand floral arrangement, meticulously crafted with an array of pastel coloured flowers. The arch blooms with a harmonious blend of soft pinks, delicate lilacs, creamy whites, and subtle touches of deeper rose hues. Roses, hydrangeas, and other complementary florals interweave to create a lush and dense canopy, transforming the space into an enchanting floral haven.

The arch’s design suggests a cascading effect, with flowers densely packed at the top and gently thinning out towards the bottom, giving it a natural, organic feel. The Turn over from Ceremony to Reception

Our team waited 3 hours for the ceremony to be complete and the guests to leave during this time we worked with the in house Dorchester team to turn the room around with our dramatic long table setup.

An elongated table, set for a sumptuous feast, stretches beneath the soft glow of modern chandeliers, their light reflecting off the polished surfaces and casting an inviting warmth throughout the space. The table itself is a masterpiece of design, draped in a pristine white linen, complemented by glints of gold from the carefully placed cutlery and charger plates that promise a dining experience fit for royalty.

Central to this enchanting setup are the towering floral centrepieces, a cascade of blush pink and pastel coloured blooms. Hydrangeas, roses, and delicate florals rise from elegant glass vases, their petals soft and inviting, evoking a garden in full spring bloom. These florals not only draw the eye upward to the majesty of the room’s architecture but also create an intimate atmosphere, as if each conversation at the table is a private whisper among the flowers.

Carefully placed candles in tall, slender holders flicker gently, their dance lending a tranquil rhythm to the space. At each setting, a napkin, rests upon the glimmering gold leaf charger plates.

In every detail, the Crystal Ballroom at the Dorchester has been thoughtfully curated to provide an experience of timeless grace and beauty. This event decor is not simply about creating a space but about sculpting an atmosphere that will linger in memories long after the last candle has been extinguished, a true testament to the artistry of exceptional wedding décor.
